Urban Farming with Mycrogreens

Combining his passion for mycology with the growing demand for locally sourced produce, Paul Flores launched his urban farming business, Mycrogreens, in the spring of 2023. After successfully acquiring a unique growers permit from the city of San Francisco, Paul has begun production just steps away from his apartment in his quaint backyard garden he shares with his upstairs neighbor. So what makes his urban farm unique? Through much trial and error, Paul discovered a proprietary process to grow mushrooms and microgreens symbiotically. His goal is to start there and potentially expand across the Bay so that he can meet the demands of local businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

So with his business plan and growing process dialed, his next steps were to capture his products, process, and passion for growing. So that’s where Anthony comes in to the picture. Working with him and his amazing girlfriend Katya, they planned a number of lifestyle and environmental portrait shoots spanning across his production cycle to capture everything from seeding, growing, harvesting, delivery, and finally some portraits of him out in the garden. Additionally, they got in a number product images to show the final product in the form of micgrogardens customers can take home.
